Breakfast was very good, but I expected a lot more from a hotel with the Ibis brand. My room was bland, and its originality didn't make the high price feel justified. The room itself was in poor shape, with maintenance clearly lacking, and the shower was dirty and full of mold. Some staff also seemed unwilling to work or be friendly. Those things are harder to accept than the service issues I could understand. I’m a hotelier and had told them before arriving that cleanliness matters a lot to me. I’d asked for an iron and ironing board in my room, but was told the hotel had only one set and guests had to request it when needed. I wasn’t happy with that, but accepted it. I’d also let them know I was arriving early after an intercontinental flight and asked to check in early. That wasn’t possible either, which I didn’t like, though I understood. I’m writing this with regret because I’d expected so much from the hotel.

A great place to stay if you’re cycling or bike packing in the area. Their dedicated bike storage has a full service setup and a cleaning facility, the best I’ve seen at a hotel. The staff were really helpful, and there’s an excellent restaurant on site.

We had a comfortable room, and the restaurant was very good when we ate there that evening. My wife and I were cycle touring and appreciated the excellent facilities for storing and maintaining our bikes. The man at reception was very helpful when we arrived, and shared plenty of interesting information about the town and the hotel. Thanks! We stayed for one night.

I was only stopping on the way to Bilbao, but this was a pleasant theme hotel inspired by the town's footwear production. I couldn't find my room online, though everything was tastefully done. The staff were friendly, the food was good, and the location was convenient, even though you have to go through town to get there. Parking was only on the street. There was space, but dragging luggage from there to the entrance was a nuisance. Shops close early, so don't count on buying wine if you arrive after 1800.
