The service was pretty good.

We won't be coming back. We were only waiting on the terrace for the café to open, with about 15 minutes to go, when the owner arrived and scolded us for sitting there while it was closed. We explained why we were waiting, but she kept berating us and told us to use the benches on the beach. Customers shouldn't be treated that way for simply waiting.

The staff were consistently attentive and helpful, which was the one bright spot. The rooms were tiny and unbearably hot, and we couldn't leave the terrace door open because of noise from the hotel's terrace, which stays open until 1:30 in the morning. The bathroom was cramped, had no ventilation, and looked untouched since the building went up in the 1960s. There's no elevator either, so you have to haul your luggage upstairs. For breakfast, you're on your own: the cafeteria doesn't open until 10:00 AM.

The warm, family feel at Hotel Isla Playa made us feel right at home. From the owners to reception, the waiters and the cleaning staff, everyone was kind and clearly put real care and commitment into their work. I’m grateful for the attention and service throughout my stay. It was a lovely experience, and I’ll definitely return.
