Alfar Apartamentos

The view was the only thing I liked, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Breakfast was very poor: no water or tea, just the bare basics, and nothing cooked. There was cheese, one kind of ham, bacon and cereal. It ran from 7:30 to 10:30, but when we came down at 8:30 there was nothing left. They were very unlikely to bring out more unless we made a scene, which is what we ended up doing. Dinner was included too, but wasn't very good. One night, dessert was yogurt with a packet of sugar. At dinner there was water and red wine on the table, but just one glass to drink from. I'd stay here and eat elsewhere, since the food isn't worth it.

We stayed in the aparthotel's apartment section, and the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and very clean. We also had the menu del dia at the restaurant. The dining room was nicely set out with tablecloths and napkins, which gave the impression that staff care about their guests. The food was tasty and typically Spanish, just what we wanted, and the staff were excellent.

A brilliant place to stop before heading to santander. We had a great beach view from our balcony, good wifi, free parking for my motorcycle, and it was good value. The hotel offered to look after our bike gear so we could have a late lunch without rushing, since our ferry wasn't until 1800 hours.

For 190e, the apartment had no air conditioning or fan, and a large chimney was pumping out smelly kitchen fumes. It felt like the fumes could give you cancer. They didn't seem to care even though we had small children with us. At least they gave us our money back, because they know. Don't go there.
