Patrice and Carl at reception were brilliant, and nothing was too much trouble. Dinner was great, so we’ll be back. We stayed at the Estival on a half-board package, and there’s a beautiful beach right outside. The hotel sits roughly halfway between Cambrils and Salou. The public bus from Reus airport goes straight to the door and cost us €3.60 each. The glass of port in the photo was €2.20.

The staff were superb, welcoming guests of all ages and always kind and accommodating. That five-star service is what lifted the stay for me, even though the hotel itself felt more like three stars. I’d give it 6 out of 10. The beachfront location is excellent, and the pool has plenty of sunbeds. Cambrillis feels wholesome and family-friendly, without many loud parties. Breakfast had a great selection; dinner varied, with some very good days and others that were just okay. We had a Junior Suite for two adults and two kids for four days. It was oddly triangular and near the fire exit. The bed and the kids’ pull-out beds were bouncy and springy. The room and the hotel’s general appearance felt dated, and the TV didn’t work for the first two days. Renting a bike sounded nice, but most of the bikes were in rough shape, with missing brakes or other serious problems.

A relaxing spot on the Costa Daurada, right by the beach, with just a few steps between you and the shore. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and there was a laid-back feel to the place. We also enjoyed the varied, delicious food. Highly recommended! 🌊☀️🏨

We’re a family of three, and the location suited us. From our balcony there was a direct view of the beach, though the room felt small for two adults and a child. The reception team and everyone else were very friendly. The Wi-Fi was extremely bad. If you need to join meetings or Zoom calls, forget it. We were also disturbed by cockroaches in the dining area and kitchen.
