The kitchen has plenty of equipment, though an oven and kettle would have been useful. The toilets have glass doors, which feels a bit odd and offers no privacy. Still, it's a comfortable apartment in a quiet area, within walking distance of shops and Isla beach, about 20-25 minutes away. A good choice if you want to stay away from the crowds.

The location worked really well for us. By car, beaches, promenades, restaurants, and supermarkets around Noja, Isla, and Quejo are all under 10 minutes away. The oldest beach is a little over a 10-minute walk, at the Quejo estuary. At low tide you can walk over to Quejo beach; at high tide you have to reach it from farther away. The nearby road to Isla is quiet, with very little traffic, and the area was peaceful. We hardly noticed the people in the other apartment, unless we were both outside. During our stay, though, the San Roque Festival brought a street party in Quejo that went past 4 a.m. with very loud music, revelers, and vehicles passing near the house, so we didn't sleep at all that night. That was clearly an unusual exception. The property is split into two apartments, with separate sliding-gate entrances on opposite sides. The left entrance has quite a bit more room, but there is enough space behind the building to turn a large car around. Each apartment has its own terrace, screened from the others by a tall hedge. There are outdoor sofas, a table, a big parasol, two reclining chairs, and a small wood or charcoal barbecue. The butane barbecue shown in the photos wasn't there when we visited. The back garden is spacious, with limestone rocks, natural grass, benches, and a bright glass-enclosed shed. Inside the shed are a fireplace, table and chairs, bookcase, gas stove, sink, and grills. It seems like a lovely place to spend a rainy day, as well as the cozy apartment. The apartment itself has an open-plan ground floor with a four-meter ceiling, kitchen, dining table, and living area. The kitchen has drip and capsule coffee makers, toaster, microwave, fridge, electric hob and hood, plus cupboards, with plenty of room for four. In the living area there's a large sofa, a row of old cinema seats with cushions and blankets, a TV, and a mini stereo. There is no internet, and the stereo has a jack input but no Bluetooth. Upstairs are two good-sized bedrooms, each with a toilet, shower cubicle, and vanity sink. The shower cubicles have clear glass doors, which may be awkward for anyone concerned about privacy. There's nowhere in the shower to hang towels or put shower gel, though I'm sure the owner will sort that out soon. The wood floors look nice, but creak with even slight movement, especially in some spots. Anyone getting up early, going to bed late, or using the bathroom at night is likely to wake the others. The windows have no blinds or shutters, and the blackout curtains let in quite a lot of light, so if you need a truly dark room, bring an eye mask unless you get up early. Both floors have electric radiators with thermostats. We visited in summer, and even with the heat outside, it stayed at a very comfortable temperature throughout the house.

We came away feeling rested and really enjoyed the surroundings. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. We'd happily come back.

Beautiful views and such lovely scenery. The house itself is beautiful too 💖

Those spectacular views make this a really relaxing house.
