This feels more like an apartment block than a hotel. The apartments are roomy, with good sized balconies, and there's a large shared area with pools and sun loungers. Beaches are around a 5 to 10 minute walk away, and the main bus station is close by. The location makes airport trips cheap and easy. The number 40 aeropuerto express goes straight there in about 15 minutes for 3.20 euro. There are restaurants on site, which looked popular, as well as a medical and dental center. If you're cooking for yourself, there's a handy supermarket behind the San Marino complex, along with more shops, bars, and restaurants.

Our two-bedroom apartment had an ensuite in each bedroom, a big lounge with a comfortable sofa and two recliners, and a well-equipped kitchen. There was plenty of space, with a large TV, two balconies with sea views, and free, strong Wi-Fi throughout. It felt like home. The private pool was lovely, and the location was handy, about five minutes on foot to town, the beach, and harbour. Bars, places to eat, and supermarkets were right nearby.

There's a great range of places to eat, from pub grub to high-end dining. The place is next door to the bus station, which made it easy for me to travel around the island cheaply.
