Green Garden Eco Resort

There’s plenty for families here. The two large pools are 1.5 m deep and have no loud music; one has a smaller 0.8 m pool attached, and there’s a separate 45 cm baby pool with its own seating area. Our four- and five-year-olds used them all. The kitchens have a stove, plates, utensils, and enough equipment for self-catering, though the all-inclusive option suited us perfectly. There’s evening entertainment after dinner, a nice games area, and an on-site store stocked with holiday essentials. You can fill bottles at a free water tap too. We couldn’t fault our stay. There was a good range of gluten-free food, the staff were lovely and attentive, the rooms were clean, and each bedroom had good air con. It’s a five-minute drive from las americas and los cristianos, and ten minutes from adeje. Getting around is easy with a bus from the hotel door, though I’m not sure if it’s free. We hired a car ourselves. Great for families who want to relax by the pool or explore independently. We’ll definitely stay again on our next trip to Tenerife.

The pools are great, and there are plenty of nice things for kids, though our 11-year-old was arguably too old for most of them. There’s a restaurant, pool, kids’ entertainment, and mini-supermarket on site. The staff are brilliant, but the restaurant isn’t really our thing. I don’t want a magician or variety act while I’m eating. We’ve stayed twice, which is unusual for us, and the private bungalow apartments work so well for us and the kids: two bedrooms, a lounge, and a kitchen. For the price, it’s pretty damn good. Still, it’s starting to look tired and could do with fresh paint and a winter spruce-up. The kitchen has plenty of appliances, but hardly enough pans, knives, or plates to actually cook. Kind of brilliant, but losing its edge?

We spent a week here with family, really enjoyed the food, and were impressed by the facilities. A special thanks to Mr. Karim in the restaurant, who worked as a barman and was always smiling and happy to help. He brought cold jugs of water for the kids, even outside the usual working hours. Whenever we asked for drinks, he brought them with professionalism and a cheerful attitude. He clearly loves his job and families with kids. Bless him.

We chose this resort for its private villas rather than a room in a huge building, and really enjoyed our own villa. The surroundings are beautiful, green, and clean, with lots of plants, birds, and a cat. Our daughters spent ages petting and playing with the cat, who we think might be local. The location is a little far from the beach and city, but we rented a car through reception and had no trouble getting where we needed. Some people complained about the food, but I thought it was good enough, with plenty of choices even for picky eaters. There was a different food theme every night, which was exciting because you didn’t know what you’d get. We especially enjoyed the Wednesday barbecue lunch. The evening shows were entertaining, with Chinese dragon night and magic night our favorites. Thursday’s foam party and disco were outstanding, the music and vibe were amazing. I’d suggest having the disco every day 🤪 Big shout-out to all the staff. They greeted us with smiles morning and evening, and everyone was amazing. Oscar at the bar was a real jokester 😅💪. It’s been a great vacation. We leave tomorrow, and I hope we’ll be back ❤️‍🔥
