Medano Rent

Staff were friendly and helpful, and there's a good choice of terraces. It's a small, quaint resort. The hotel is nice, with spacious, decent rooms, though they could use a deep clean. There was dust on the tops of the balcony doors, the fan, and the walls. That's my only criticism. Breakfast includes cooked and continental options, but it can get busy at certain times. The reception area doesn't fit the rest of the classy hotel. The coloured walls don't do much for it; I think a coat of white paint and some pictures would help.

We just got home and had a fantastic stay. The location was peaceful, and the holiday was really relaxing, just right if you want to unwind. The staff were friendly, the rooms spacious, comfortable, clean, and cleaned daily. Breakfast was pleasant with lots of choice. Ignore the negative reviews, I recommend this hotel and we'll definitely return. The lift was out of order for a day or two, but at least we got our steps in 👍👍

“No outside food allowed.” A rather overzealous waiter delivered that rule with such intensity that it ended my attempt to have a cortado on the hotel terrace, despite its lovely view over the bay of El Médano. I put the pastry I'd bought from a nearby bakery back in its bag, finished my coffee, and left. At a hotel charging over €300 a night for a double room, I wondered whether this was really the hospitality guests should expect. I later asked if the hotel had any cake, pastry, or even a simple biscuit to go with coffee. The answer was brief: “There is nothing.” The breakfast room also feels efficient but completely lacking in warmth. Too many rules and too little hospitality. At this price, guests expect to feel welcome.

The hotel is near the beach, and every room has its own wifi, which is great. My room was very clean, and the view was GREAT. I really liked the hotel and recommend it 100%.
