Hotel Zentral Center

The location is a real plus, and the staff were polite and quite friendly. But I was disappointed by the cleanliness. The sheets were very old and worn, and the bathroom, especially the toilet, hadn’t been cleaned properly. The hotel feels dated. I was on the fourth floor, where the internet didn’t work at all, which was frustrating. Breakfast was acceptable, but nothing special, so I can’t really recommend the hotel.

It’s a basic, quiet hotel with no real character, and it can feel empty. I booked room only, so I can’t say anything about the food. The location is good, and it’s worth considering if you get a good price. They advertise a sauna, but I couldn’t find it. There’s a great gym next door with good daily and weekly rates.

The pool was lovely to use every day. The water was cool but comfortable, and there were plenty of empty loungers since we went after the peak period. We were there during a heatwave, with daytime temperatures around 34C. Our timing was great. I was unsure about staying after reading some bad reviews, but we had a very positive visit. Our second-floor room was spacious and clean, with working AC and a powerful shower over the bath with sliding doors. The bathroom was large and clean too. The cleaners made up the room daily while we were out. We left no valuables out and had no complaints. Reception staff were friendly and looked after us well. The hotel is perfectly located, with everything close by. We booked half board, but breakfast only would have been a better choice because there are so many nearby restaurants. I tried dinner once during our four-night stay and didn’t enjoy it. On the first night we went out on a starter-gazing tour, then ate at the hotel on night two and went out on nights three and four. Breakfast had nice ham and cheese omelettes, croissants, toast, and granola with almonds and hazelnuts. The bacon was all fat with no visible pink meat, and the sausages were skinny processed hot dogs, so I skipped both after the first try. A taxi from the airport was around 36 euros, and the return ride cost 28. The hotel can call one with its button, and they arrive in about five minutes. Uber was expensive, so we didn’t use it. I’d recommend the hotel.

The rooftop pool is a lovely place to relax and sunbathe when you want to take it easy. Our room was very clean and spacious, with a balcony and a fantastic view. The shower and bath were brilliant, and the hot water was reliable. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the shops and local restaurants. We love this place.
