The heated pool was a real plus with our small child, and we could borrow pool towels for free. The kitchen had what we needed, and having a washing machine meant we could pack lighter. The apartment was good value in Los Cristianos, especially at Christmas when Tenerife prices are so high. It also looked modern compared with the dated interiors in many nearby three-star hotels. We’d stayed with the Ona chain on mainland Spain before, so we felt comfortable booking and were pleasantly surprised. Getting around our villa was awkward. The bedroom was on the ground floor by the entrance, but after the beach we had to go upstairs to the terrace and washing machine to clean up. Parking was two levels above the entrance, and the living room and terrace were another level up. Our entrance faced the pool and had lots of stairs; there was an elevator farther away, but we usually took the nearby stairs. The living room furniture also got in the way, with a hard-to-reach coffee table crowding the dining chairs and a big armchair blocking much of the TV. The bed was a small standard double with a thin mattress, uncomfortable for us as a 170-180cm couple of average build. In Room 24, a broken iron nearly electrocuted me, which was especially frightening with a small child. The daytime reception staff could also be friendlier when answering questions. We arrived late at night and reception checked us in quickly. Online check-in was convenient. There are things that could be improved, but we were satisfied with what we paid and would still recommend the property.

It’s a decent, cheap-and-cheerful place to stay, as long as you’re not expecting the Ritz. Our studio apartment had everything needed for a short visit, and the resort was clean, with a nice pool and what looked like plenty of loungers. There are quite a few steps if walking is difficult, though ramps seemed to be available in most areas. It’s a little out of town, about a 10-minute downhill walk to the boardwalk. The walk toward Los Americas is pleasant, but I didn’t find much difference between there and the other place if you’re going for shops. The promenade has some lovely restaurants and lots of bars. Reception shuts at 9 pm. We didn’t eat at the resort, since we prefer to get up and head out, so I can’t comment on the food or bar.

The location worked really well for us, tucked away from noisy areas, and the staff were friendly. We’ve enjoyed our week here. The rooms are lovely and clean, although ours was only cleaned on arrival. We managed fine, but would have appreciated more visits from housekeeping. Cleaners can be up early and chat outside. Breakfast is cooked fresh, but mornings can get busy and there may be a long wait both to be served and to get the food. Rooms that are meant to be the same can have different features: our parents’ room had two fridges and more bedside sockets, while ours had one fridge and one socket. Still, we had everything we needed.

Friendly staff, a lovely pool, and a pool bar with drinks and food at reasonable prices. Our apartment was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. We had a fantastic stay and hope to come back.

The apartment was laid out nicely, modern, very clean, and reasonably quiet. We had room 77, away from the pool, and it stayed peaceful until neighbours arrived near the end. Then we could hear quite a lot from both sides. The duplex had entrances on both levels, though we used the main one upstairs. It felt secure, and we could leave doors open for a breeze. Air conditioning was available, but we didn’t need it. There were two toilets, nice bathrooms, a comfy standard double bed, and a well-equipped kitchen with a washing machine. The balcony caught the sun in the late morning and early afternoon. We’re in our 60s and walked more than 50 miles over the week. The nearest beach is about a 15-minute walk, and the main beaches are a bit farther, so it’s manageable if you have the stamina. A taxi back from Porto Colon / Costa Adeje side cost €10. We ate at the restaurant one evening and found it nice enough and reasonably priced. Don’t have the breakfast, though. We didn’t travel with children, so can’t comment on those facilities. We booked through our cession week swap option with club La Costa. We arrived early and waited at the pool bar until our room was ready. Staff were very friendly. The spirits weren’t the real stuff, which put us off drinking there again, but the beer was good and not too expensive, and the cocktails were very nice. We used the lovely pool only on the first day. There was a lifeguard, and free pool towels were available. The safe key required a deposit that wasn’t returned, so it wasn’t really a deposit. As this was a timeshare swap, we paid for electricity, which came to €5.82 for the week. That’s fine by me. The wifi, though, was rubbish. I don’t know why resorts don’t invest more in connectivity these days. It was a pleasant stay, and I’d recommend it.
