Paradero II

My family and I were very unhappy with the manager's awful behavior and the terrible way guests were treated. There were cockroaches in the room, and the bed linen was changed rarely, if at all. I don't recommend staying here.

The location was perfect, close to the beach, nightlife, restaurants, and bars. Our apartment was quiet, with no noise from the strip, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice balcony to relax on. We stayed five nights, and the cleaners came twice to change the towels and sheets. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it.

The location and price were both very good, so for a budget stay I think it’s a good choice. The rooms are a bit outdated, and you can hear the neighbours and outside noise. Room service was limited. The main problem is that bugs or cockroaches may get into the rooms at night, which isn’t pleasant. If budget wasn’t a concern, I’d choose a larger hotel or resort with facilities such as a pool.

Cockroaches everywhere. There are two different apartment complexes, and we were put in one that meant walking down a dark alley. My friend and I are both 22, and it didn’t feel safe for young women: men were hiding in the trees or bushes, watching us and shouting sexual remarks. Our room was infested too. Cockroaches were in the sink and cutlery, and even got into our suitcases. We told reception and were told this was normal, that someone would spray the room, and that we shouldn’t leave the balcony door open. We asked to change rooms, but our first request was refused. We went to the beach and came back to get ready; at first it seemed fine, but later the cockroaches were running around the floor, beds, and benches again. Reception didn’t seem to care when we called. When we spoke to them in person, they said there was nothing they could do and handed us spray to use ourselves, which made things worse. We ended up sleeping at reception, where there were cockroaches too. When we pointed them out, the receptionist accused us of putting them everywhere. A manager said they could move us, but seemed happy to do so again.
