Private Apartment 150 HG Tenerife Sur

I've never been so ready to leave a hotel. We stayed five nights and had to change rooms on day two because the first had an ant infestation, cockroaches, and an incredibly loud noise, like some kind of generator, that made the whole room shake. The fan barely worked and squeaked constantly, so it was unbearable to have on. The second room wasn't much better. When we first opened the door, the handle fell off, and we waited an hour for maintenance to fix it. There were countless cockroaches and other bugs in that room too. I'm still covered in bites, despite bringing bug spray. It was disgusting. I've travelled a lot and been to Tenerife four times; my partner has been three times, and neither of us has ever had anything like this. Jet2 contacted the hotel and we were told to go to reception after 8 am to change rooms. We arrived at 8:30 and were told to come back at 10:30, then at 10:30 they told us to return at 5 because the manager was out. The manager was rude and said something like, 'it's a hot country, we do get bugs'. The hotel offered nothing beyond a room change, which was very disappointing after all the distress. We were celebrating our anniversary, and I'd told the hotel beforehand. I didn't expect anything from the email, but certainly not two appalling rooms. The rooms are also very dated, and the online photos seem edited to look nicer and cleaner. During our entire stay, the beds were never changed. The cleaners only emptied the bins and left toilet paper. No wonder it's in such a state. Sunbed wars were ridiculous too, though we didn't want to spend time around the hotel anyway. I'm a travel agent and won't recommend this hotel to any customers. We have evidence of everything, and it's a shame videos can't be added here.

The pool area was clean and well kept, but getting a sunbed was a joke. People queued an hour before the pool opened, and there weren't nearly enough beds for everyone. Half of the pool area gets no sun. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the location near the centre of Los Christianos was excellent. We didn't try the restaurant, though it always looked busy and had live entertainment in the evenings. The maids kept the rooms very well. They were a little dated, but nothing concerning, and the beds were comfortable. We had no problems with the appliances. Sleep was difficult every night because our room faced the main road, near the very loud bars and restaurants on the strip. Music went on past 1 am, then wagons, buses, and taxis were starting their day as early as 6 am. We'll definitely return to the area, but unfortunately not this hotel.

We visited in October 2025 for ten days, two adults and two children aged 14 and 11. This was our seventh trip to Tenerife, and we'd stayed at a different hotel every time. I decided to write a review because of the negative ones. Reading some, they don't match what we experienced, and I really don't understand them. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms don't have air conditioning, but the ceiling fans were enough for me. If you really want air con, there are plenty of places to rent portable units. We only ate at the hotel a few times since we don't do half board or all-inclusive, and there are lots of other choices right on the doorstep, including the snack bar just past the pool. We never had trouble finding a sunbed, though that might have been because of the time of year. I'd definitely recommend this hotel. I prefer it to the other Tenerife hotels we've tried, including one just up the hill.

We're on our last night after seven nights here, and it's been a fantastic holiday with nothing to complain about. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the food and drinks were very good value. Thanks for a lovely stay. We'd happily return and recommend it to anyone.
