TENERIFE ROYAL BEACH with Wifi A/C

The pool is quite small, and floaties aren’t allowed. There’s a middle-aged blonde lifeguard who stands uncomfortably close to children swimming, making the experience awkward. The evening entertainment was below average. We enjoyed the holiday, but won’t be back. We’re currently staying as self catering guests. The rooms are good, though there’s no freezer or oven, so keep that in mind. Staff are okay overall. Frozen cocktails such as piña coladas cost €9 each, even though they’re included in the all inclusive package, so bear that in mind if you’re self catering.

Nico at the pool bar was a star and made our holiday. He was always positive and made amazing cocktails. The rest of the staff were super friendly, knowledgeable, smiling and helpful too. Entertainment staff were energetic, attentive and always looking for something fun to do with guests. We stayed for a week in May. The food was great, with a large selection so everyone could find something. Cleaning could have been a bit better: the shower wasn’t very clean, and the room was a bit dusty. I don’t think that was the cleaners’ fault, since they’re only doing what they’re told. The hotel, area and experience were very good. Definitely recommend it!

The room was nice and clean, with a big balcony and a fantastic view. The staff were very nice and helpful during our week-long stay. The food needs improvement, though. All inclusive should mean three or four meals a day, not two. The checkout here is at 11.00, not 12.00 like it is at most hotels, and nobody told us. At 11.06, reception called and yelled at us. When we asked for five minutes, they said they couldn’t give us five and had to leave now. Two minutes later, an employee came into the room while my husband was getting dressed. We said this wasn’t allowed and we had a right to privacy, but they told us our privacy ended at 11 o’clock. In short, they kicked us out. My husband and I travel a lot, and this is the first time I’ve seen staff act this way. It left a very unpleasant impression.

We’re so happy my partner and I chose this hotel. It’s in an amazing area, close to lots of things, with taxis easy to find. The staff were lovely and friendly, the rooms were very nice and super clean, and the food had a great selection, so you’re sure to find something you like. Highly recommend!
