Tigotan Lovers & Friends Playa de las Américas - Adults Only (+18)

I traveled solo and had a fantastic stay at Tigotan Hotel. The rooms had been renovated, and mine was spacious and very comfortable. The food was superb, with plenty of variety and live cooking stations. Honestly, I found it much better than almost all the restaurants I tried outside the hotel. The staff were lovely and went the extra mile. On my last day, they gave me access to a courtesy room so I could shower and freshen up before my flight, which helped a lot. The rooftop bar and infinity pool were an incredible place to relax with a view. Extras were reasonably priced too. In my opinion, the quality of everything could easily earn the hotel five stars. I’ve already recommended it to all my family and friends, whether traveling solo or with others.

Our first stay at Tigotan was really nice, and we’d consider it for future trips to Tenerife. The staff were a real credit to the hotel, professional, very friendly and welcoming. Lorena from the restaurant and pool bar went out of her way to check we were enjoying our holiday. It was my wife’s birthday, and Federica and Simona from guest experience arranged flowers, balloons and bubbly for our room. The entertainment was very good, from pool parties to three-piece bands in the evening and DJs on the rooftop. There was a good mix of ages at this adults-only hotel. As exclusive guests, we had a dedicated check-in desk. Lina gave us one of the best check-ins we’ve had, got us sorted promptly and offered us a glass of bubbly. We arrived early, so she showed us to the exclusive lounge while our room was cleaned. It was ready within half an hour, and we were then taken up. The upgraded room had a massive jacuzzi bath and great pool and ocean views. The cleaning staff kept it spotless. The pool areas were great, with heated pools. Sunbeds were closely monitored so people couldn’t reserve them with towels, and we could get a bed any time of day. The rooftop infinity pools had panoramic views and a great bar. The only negative was that the shared areas around the lifts and landings could use a little attention.

The hotel was clean throughout, with plenty of sunbeds, and both meals had lots of choice and tasted very good. Our room was nice, though we paid extra for a pool view and then paid even more for the sunny side. Everyone on staff was helpful, and we had a lovely week. The one odd part was pool towels: they wanted a €40 deposit and wouldn’t take a card, so I bought towels elsewhere. I thought that was a bit archaic.

Chef David greeted us each day with a smile and a joke, which made the holiday memorable. Lorena and Joselo were just as lovely, remembering our names and drinks and giving us attentive, friendly service. The whole hotel felt warm and welcoming, and all the staff took care of what we needed. Highly recommend.
