Aparthotel Udalla Park

The street was quiet and the views were lovely. We didn't hear noise from outside or from other guests. The location worked really well, with the beach roughly a 10 minute walk away, the golden mile about 5 minutes away, shops downstairs, and a supermarket just five doors down on the corner. The pool was lovely and not too busy when we went. We stayed with our 4 year old and 1 year old. The bed was comfy, and the staff were super friendly. There's free Wi-Fi that worked without issues, and a baggage area where you can leave bags before check-in or after check-out. There was no air conditioning, but the free fan worked fine. You can pay 80€ for a week's hire of an AC unit. The apartment's only feature that made me a bit wary was the stairs, though there were just three, and we used the travel cot to block them when our daughter was out and about. For the price, you get a lot. The room was lovely and clean, and really spacious. I'd definitely recommend it and would go back.

We booked a self catering apartment with a solarium terrace for the last week of February into March. The 10 minute walk to the strip worked perfectly for us. I was worried after seeing a few negative reviews, but my expectations were exceeded. I'm used to 4 and 5 star all inclusive hotels, and was more than happy when I walked into a modern, clean, well equipped room. No cockroaches or bed bugs, despite what another review had said. The place smelled clean as soon as I arrived. The bedding and towels had a strong, fresh detergent scent, like my mum's washing. The bathroom was spotless, with a bath and shower, hot water, gleaming tiles, and a clean sink, toilet, and floor. The apartment had a spacious bedroom with two single beds that could be made into a double, a mirrored built in wardrobe, shelves, a safe, hangers, and a flat screen TV on a shelf at the foot of the beds. The kitchen and dining area were a few steps down. There was a small table with two chairs, a double sofa bed with a coffee table, and a compact kitchenette with a fridge, coffee machine, crockery, plates, and silverware. A spiral staircase went up to the private rooftop terrace, with two sunbeds. It was a nice spot for stargazing. Double patio doors opened from the dining area onto a balcony with a small table, two chairs, and an ashtray. The staff were friendly, though we didn't need to speak with them much. Reception was clean and tidy, with a vending machine selling sandwiches, chocolate, and drinks. There were luggage scales and a luggage room near the lift for late checkouts. Both lifts go to the pool area, which is small but peaceful. It might get crowded in peak summer with so few sunbeds, but our private terrace meant that wasn't an issue for us. This is a lovely hotel with clean, modern, spacious apartments. The 3 star rating seems fair, and it had everything I could have asked for. Thankyou udalla park. 🙏🏻

The apartments are reasonably priced and come with a basic kitchenette, bedroom, en suite bathroom with a bath and shower, and a balcony. There's a pool, though I didn't use it, and you may be able to borrow a fan since there's no air conditioning. Breakfast is available at another hotel down the road. Rooms facing the busy road can be noisy.

The worst part was the beds and couches, which seemed to be riddled with bed bugs. I woke up with a rash and bites every night I stayed. It's a shame, since the rest of the holiday was lovely. The location is handy for tourism, but right by local bars, and tourists shouting late into the night kept me awake. I'm writing this at 1am from the balcony while a group practically yells at each other. The photos are far from what the rooms actually look like, and they weren't as advertised. There seemed to be no food available from the hotel, and the rooms had only the bare minimum and no air conditioning. The pool and drinks aren't available after 7pm, and floaties or balls aren't allowed in the pool. I'd recommend spending a little more on a nicer hotel in the area, even if it means a shorter stay.
