The rooftop was a nice extra, with sunbeds, a jacuzzi and a shower, and all the apartments face the sea and have balconies. We were given the penthouse on the 7th floor when my wife and I stayed in mid January 2026. Apartamentos Islamar Arrecife is clean, quiet and freshly decorated. Our basic room was spotless and had what we needed, and the cleaners offered to come in daily, though we didn’t need that. The reception staff were excellent. Most spoke several languages and all spoke English apart from Teresa, who seemed to cover evenings and weekends. She was lovely and very helpful. It’s a quiet area with enough cafés, bars and restaurants to try somewhere different each night, though only a few are really good, so choose carefully. We knew there was no gym or pool. We just wanted a relaxing week in the sun, and the place impressed us for a two star complex. We’d rate it three or even four stars, depending on what you’re after. It’s good for sunbathing, strolling around the harbour and having a few drinks at sunset. Beyond that, you’d need a car, taxi or tour. We’d both highly recommend the apartments and staff. The rooftop solarium and hot tub were a real treat, with wide views, and every balcony looks out to sea. The apartment was bright and roomy, with a clean, quirky feel, a well equipped kitchen, plus a sofa bed and TV. I found eating out really cheap, and the free Wi-Fi was handy. Apartamentos Islamar Arrecife sits right by the seafront, a few steps from Reducto Beach, with views of Arrecife Bay and the botanical gardens from the balcony. It’s a short walk into the city center, with restaurants close by. The bus station is just down the road, and buses are very cheap for getting to playa Honda, playa blanca, puerto del carmen and the airport. It feels peaceful, away from the bustle of other resorts on lanzarote. For the price, the beachfront setting and amenities are hard to beat. I’d happily come back, and recommend it to couples or solo travelers who want scenery and convenience while exploring Lanzarote.

The rooftop has sunbeds, umbrellas, a shower and a jacuzzi, and the location is great for the sea, beach, shops and museums. The apartments are spotless and have everything you need. Cleaners come in daily. It’s a quirky little place, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. They can’t speak English, but they try, just as we try to speak Spanish. Definitely coming back.
