El Charco Suites

The inside of this apartment is impressive, even though the street outside feels like an ordinary, cosy neighborhood. Charco boulevard is just a one-minute walk away. There’s a huge living room, high ceilings and a spacious kitchen. The unusual style works, and the bed was perfect. The kitchen is basic but does the job. The outdoor solarium was great, with sunbeds and tables. I visited in March, so the jacuzzi was a little cold, though I can imagine it being lovely in summer. Parking is available on the street out front. The only letdown was the hot water, which wasn’t enough for more than two people to shower one after another. For the price, I’d still recommend it 10/10.

The jacuzzi area was a real bonus, even if eating imaginary pizzas is the closest you can get since food isn’t allowed on the terrace. The flat itself was spacious, clean and quiet, with a handy city location. It was also easy to find street parking nearby.

The apartment was fine, with good Wi-Fi and air conditioning, and it’s in a convenient location. But nearby renovations caused severe noise from building work. Management stepped in and helped, though the noise continued, so it wasn’t ideal. I was also let down by the unreliable cleaner.

We booked two different suites and both were lovely, nicely decorated and very clean. It’s a shame the spa can’t be used after 7 pm.
