The staff were friendly and accommodating, which I appreciated. Still, I paid about $150 CAD for one night at this two-star hotel in the Arrecife area, and it felt significantly overpriced. I was first given a three-bed room, which seemed unnecessary and didn’t add anything to the stay. I also stayed in a two-person room, but that was still fairly expensive for what it was. Both rooms were basic, and while they were clean enough, they felt dated and lacked the comfort or amenities to justify the price. For the condition and simplicity of the rooms, the cost seems far too high for a two-star hotel in Arrecife. Renovations and upgrades might make the price easier to understand. As things stand, it would be more fairly priced closer to hostel-level shared accommodation rates.

They should close this place because of the poor hygiene. My wife had bed bugs all over her body from the bed. We reported it immediately and had plenty of pictures as proof, but they did nothing and refused a refund. Terrible hygiene and customer service.

Residencia Cardona is a hostel, not a stereotypical Spanish resort hotel, and it does that job really well. Our double room for a week had two single beds, which we pushed together, plus its own bathroom with a toilet, basin and shower. Soap, shampoo and shower gel were provided and replenished. The whole place was spotless, including the shared kitchen and laundry room. The beach is a three-minute walk away, and you’re right in Arrecife. Parking on the narrow residential street is very limited, but guests can use the Arrecife Grand Hotel’s underground car park at a reduced rate of 12€ for 24hrs. Ask at the Residencia Cardona desk and they’ll arrange it. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Everything you need is nearby, and the staff are absolutely incredible. For a couple’s stay, this is the best hotel in Lanzarote. Highly recommend!

The central location really made this a great stay. It’s clean, pleasant, and had everything I needed, with a price that felt right for a hostel. The walls are very thin, so it can get a little noisy, but I’d happily stay here again.
