The food was delicious every day, and Juanjo made sure we had the kind of stay we wanted. We spent four days there and loved the cosy, beautiful house. It’s so peaceful, with mountains and nature all around, and great for long walks. A car is handy for getting around, though buses run to San Sebastian and Pamplona. We’d love to come back.

Juanjo was a wonderful host, and we found the stay truly relaxing. The little hotel is tucked away in the Navarrese mountains, so it’s a bit off the beaten path, but worth the extra distance. It’s been renovated beautifully, with care in all the details.

The bed wasn’t very comfortable, and breakfast was basic, with average products and little variety. Juanjo’s homemade jam may have been the best part. There’s no kitchen at the moment, but the hosts gave us good suggestions, including an excellent restaurant/café at the nearby gas station. They’re warm and friendly, and happy to point out places to visit. Set in a secluded valley surrounded by nature, the old house has plenty of authentic charm. The creaky floors and lack of an elevator are the sorts of inconveniences that some people may see as part of the character. With such affordable rates, it’s a place I’d recommend in the area.

We were the only guests that night, but Juanjo and his wife still looked after us so well and shared lots of ideas for nearby places to visit. Our room was spacious, spotless, comfortable, and beautiful. The very old house has been restored with real taste, and the whole place feels peaceful and welcoming. It was magical, and we’ll definitely be back.
