Hotel Posada del Valle

We came looking for a quiet place to stay and hike in the area, and it was just right. The hotel is in a beautiful spot with an amazing view; the dining room is lovely too. The staff, especially the owners, were friendly and helpful, and our room was nice, clean, and tidy. Dinner was fantastic: one freshly made menu with an appetizer, soup, salad, main course, and dessert, all made with great products. There's also a vegetarian version. Highly recommended!

The hotel is well placed for reaching both the mountains and the coast, and the views are stunning. Our room was very clean and quiet, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They looked after us so well. We ate here every night, and the food was fantastic, including the lactose free meals for my husband. Highly recommend it.

The setting and views are absolutely beautiful, and the rooms, though very basic, were tidy and quiet. We chose breakfast, which came with organic fruit, tea, bread, and spreads. The staff were the real problem: they seemed uncomfortable around guests, and the place felt unfriendly. That was jarring after how warmly we'd been welcomed in Galicia. Also, with the hotel run by English people, how was there no kettle in the room? I was dying for a cup of tea the whole time!

The dinners were absolutely divine. The chef somehow made simple dishes like gazpacho, cold tomato soup, and snow pea salad into amazing food. We'd recommend the place just for dinner. The rural setting is peaceful, with stunning views, and the staff are friendly and very helpful. The bedrooms are spacious but lack charm, and they can be a bit noisy at night. The WiFi was lousy wherever we went, and breakfast felt so-so for the price.
