Apartamentos El Parral

Eva deserves a special mention. She looked after us the whole time, with a warm, friendly, and professional manner that made us feel at home right away. El Parral has a magical setting, full of nature, quiet, and charm, and works well for a couple's escape or a family stay. We couldn't have picked a better place to unwind and enjoy ourselves. I recommend it 100%, and hope to return very soon. Thank you for everything!

The location is lovely, but this particular apartment was in very poor condition. We booked it for 6 people from October 10th to 14th. Some kitchen utensils were broken or shabby, the bidet wasn't secured properly to the floor, the toilet cistern kept clogging, and the taps made a lot of noise when turned on. The bathtub enamel was chipped, and the bathroom windows wouldn't open. I can't speak for the other apartments, but this one merits one star, and that's generous.

The pool and grounds are lovely. The water was pleasant at any time of day, the pool was very clean with its test results on display, and the fountains and flowers were beautifully maintained. The surroundings have a relaxing charm. The apartment itself is spacious, well equipped, and has two terraces, so it's fine for a family holiday. The decor isn't much to look at, but that's minor. The owner was friendly, though also quite demanding. You have to put away the uncomfortable sun loungers yourself, water the plants, and buy your own bleach and toilet paper. Towels aren't provided either. The website says there's parking, but in practice you can park wherever you like on the street or out in the countryside. The air conditioning remote wasn't provided. The owner said nobody had asked for it, and I'm sure she charges for it. I've never been denied access to the remote before. Wi-Fi was unusable, not merely a weak signal, so I spent the whole week on my mobile data, which worked perfectly. The owner should get a better data plan instead of blaming coverage. No bottle of bleach is provided for cleaning either, though that's the least of my concerns.

The apartments are great, and I've stayed several times. The place is beautiful and the service excellent. I'd pick an upstairs apartment for the gorgeous views, especially at night. The one real drawback is the neighbors, which is mostly down to luck and not really the accommodation itself. Sometimes there are people playing loud music and shouting at all hours, and they're very inconsiderate.
