Hotel Forn Nou

The staff were so welcoming and hospitable that we felt at home straight away. We’d definitely stay here again when we’re next in this part of Mallorca. The hotel sits in Arta’s beautiful, quiet old town, and the building seems to bring together several houses, which gives it a distinctive feel. It’s bright and airy while still keeping an old, rustic character. The renovation is done to a high standard, with a real Majorcan feel alongside modern, minimalist touches.

We were glad to find a free spot every time we went up to the small rooftop terrace, which stayed uncrowded during our visit. The owner was friendly and genuinely useful, with suggestions for things to do in Artà and nearby. Breakfast was very good, and the bar has a proper espresso machine for fresh coffee. Our room’s newer smart TV let us watch more than standard channels, including ARD and ZDF Mediathek through a web browser if you know how. The hotel has a charming rustic style with modern touches, right in the heart of Artà. Parking is about a five-minute walk away at a gravel lot, and that was no problem for us.

The main drawback was that some areas looked unfinished and could do with a bit of attention. There’s a main building plus two others with rooms, so we had to cross the street to get to breakfast and the pool. That wasn’t a huge problem, though it would’ve been useful to know ahead of time. The rooms themselves were fine and well organized. Breakfast had plenty of options, including fresh fruit and coffee each day. Service and hospitality were good, and there are several free parking spots about a five-minute walk away, which worked well with our suitcases.

We spent eight nights here after a friend recommended it, and it turned out to be a great choice. The hotel is right in the old town, with free municipal parking about five minutes away on foot. It has an elegant, quaint atmosphere and is furnished in a typical Mallorcan style. The staff were very nice, and breakfast had a good range for different tastes. A charming little place in the heart of Arta, and an unforgettable stay for us.
