The garden was lovely, with a pond full of water flowers and a family of frogs, and the views were beautiful. I really enjoyed staying here. The hosts were friendly and treated us like family, the accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the food was good too!

We were walking the Camino when they picked us up in Arzua and took us to Casa Lucas. It’s a remote, peaceful place that really lets you recharge, with the feel of an old tavern by a lake. The rooms are in separate little buildings and are roomy and pleasant. There’s a hand-washing laundry facility, and the small dining room is cozy and makes it easy to chat with people at other tables. Breakfast is very basic, just toast, juice, coffee and small cakes.

It’s a peaceful place to stay, and the family really looks after you. The food is wonderful too. This is a lovely rural lodging run by the family, and they offer a shuttle to and from El Camino since it’s quite a distance away.

Loved every minute here. The hosts were incredibly helpful and tech savvy for people in their 70s, and the accommodation was quaint. The food was delicious.
