Hotel Rey Niño

We arrived at the beginning of August 2021 without a reservation and paid €25 a night at reception. After looking all over Ávila for somewhere to stay, this was a really pleasant surprise. It’s close to the parking garage and everything is within easy reach. The location is fantastic, the service superb, and the room, bathroom and common areas were spotless. The furniture is old and the TV outdated, but the mattress was very good. We had breakfast at the hotel the next morning: excellent food and very good coffee. Some people complain about the old TV, but are you really going to Ávila to watch television? The value for money is unbeatable.

For a good price in the heart of Ávila's old town, the location was fantastic. The café and reception staff were very good, though the rooms felt quite outdated. We had two rooms, and one was an interior room with a skylight and no television.

The manager is so kind and polite, and always available if you need anything. She makes the whole process easy, from booking through the stay. Everything is close by thanks to the central location. I highly recommend Hotel Rey Niño if you're looking for a great stay in Ávila.

It was acceptable, just enough to get me through the night. The heating was too low for me and couldn't be adjusted, and the thin walls let me hear other guests' conversations clearly. In the single room they gave me there was no TV, and the nearby electrical outlets didn't work, so I'll have to charge my phone in the bathroom.
