The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom came with toiletries. We were on the third floor and had to use the stairs, which was fine by us. The one thing that bothered us was a weird buzzing every five minutes. At first we thought it was another doorbell, but it kept happening and we couldn't work out what it was. Fine for an overnight stop.

Getting into Avilés is easy, with the bus stopping right outside. There's no parking and you have to pay, so driving down seems pointless. The staff were all incredibly friendly, and the room was fantastic, super clean, with a spotless bathroom. They also left soap, shampoo, and shower gel whenever they cleaned the room.

The receptionist was a 10, but the manager was really rude. I eventually got them to swap the hole they had put us in for a halfway decent room, but I won't be going back to that horrible place. Find somewhere else. I'd booked for four people and accepted two rooms connected by a shared bathroom. When we arrived, they said there'd been a mistake: the price they'd quoted was for three, though they'd still honor it. Then they said the room they'd offered was “no longer habitable” and put us in a tiny, dirty, unventilated ground-floor room. The other room, upstairs on the first floor, was quite small too, though a little better. Very bad, and I don't recommend it.

We're on the third floor, just here for tonight, my daughter, her partner, and me. We went out for dinner and got back around 10:30 or 11 PM. The heating still hasn't come on, and it's been over an hour. We're freezing. It's 5°C, what's wrong with you? Please, this is outrageous! January 11, 2026, 1:15 AM
