We were a group of cyclists staying at Loiola Hotela in Azpeitia, and the thoughtful help made the whole trip easy and enjoyable. The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to help. They arranged safe bike storage, opened breakfast early on race day, and even let us take the bikes around the hotel without any trouble. Highly recommend it.

Breakfast was decent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location worked well, about a 10 minute walk from the Sanctuary of Loyola and a short drive to other parts of town. Parking around the hotel is free. I stayed one Saturday night in early June in a Double Room. It's a decent hotel in a quiet little town. The room was clean and roomy, with a huge, comfortable bed and a nice view of the surrounding mountains in the morning. There was no air conditioning, but cracking the window open helped air the room.

After a long day on the road, we were so glad we pulled in. The woman at the desk, sorry I can't remember her name, was fantastic and made us feel welcome. She found parking for our motorcycles, too. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious, and there was a bar and restaurant right on site. Muchos gracias!

For light sleepers, the noise is a real problem. The hotel is over a bar that stays open until 11 pm and beside a busy highway, so I'd avoid it if you wake easily. I raised my rating to three stars because Isabella was so helpful and switched us to another room. My comments about the noise still stand. One tip for Americans like me: there are shutters outside to block the light. I wish someone had mentioned them.
