Hotel Marina Badalona

The hotel was a welcome break from the city’s noise, though the main attractions were about 20 minutes away. We could step straight from the back entrance onto the beach boardwalk, and there was a market next door for water and little snacks. We arrived early in the morning and the front desk quickly arranged two adjoining rooms for us, within 15 minutes. The rooms were spacious by European standards and really lovely. Staff stayed friendly and helpful all week, whether we needed a taxi or wanted to book an activity.

The beach is just a few steps away, and the infinity pool was a lovely place to sit in the sea breeze. I also had a stunning view of the water from my room, and the sunrise was breathtaking. Hotel Marina Badalona is modern and beautiful, with stylish rooms and a good range at breakfast. It’s a calm spot for a seaside break. Getting to the city center takes around 20 minutes, and the airport is about 30-45 minutes away, but I still found it well worth it for a relaxing stay.

At 00:00 on 27.10.2025, I had an upsetting encounter with a receptionist at Hotel Marina Badalona. He spoke loudly to me in Spanish and threatened to call the police, although I had done nothing wrong. His manner felt intimidating, rude, and disrespectful, and I felt offended and discriminated against. This was inappropriate and unprofessional, and left me very uncomfortable. Please look into what happened, as this kind of conduct is unacceptable in customer service and hospitality.

The breakfast buffet had a lot to choose from, including Spanish food, an English breakfast, pastries, and a good coffee and drinks station. Our room was spotless, modern, and had everything we needed, and housekeeping was the best I’ve seen. We loved the rooftop pool and bar, and the spa was beyond words. Staff were super friendly and helpful from arrival through checkout. The hotel has a quiet, modern, welcoming feel, with everything we needed just a minute away and the beach right there. It’s about a 30-minute taxi ride from Barcelona Airport. We enjoyed all four days and would happily recommend it. We can’t wait to return to Hotel Marina Badalona.
