Smoke hit me as I came inside, and there was hardly ever a quiet moment. The walls are thin enough that I could hear people in the rooms above and next door.

I only needed somewhere to sleep, so I booked two nights on the spur of the moment when I saw the price. It’s close to the beach and was a good deal. The room was fine, with a queen-size bed and coffee maker, and it was cleaned every day. The bathroom was small but did the job. The building and furniture are a little old.

The owner was friendly, and the room itself was cozy and quiet. What brought it down for me was finding long black hairs all over the room, literally everywhere. I got in late and went straight to bed, so I only noticed too late, then told the owner first thing in the morning. Maybe it was just a one-off, I don’t know. Besides that, the price is hard to beat.

There are plenty of restaurants close by, and the hotel is only four minutes from the dock. My room was clean and spacious. The bathtub was a nice bonus, especially for pilgrims.

A small, friendly place that’s easy on the wallet. The room had a kettle and plenty of tea and coffee. It’s well placed for the town, the beach, and the historic monuments.
