The views are the apartment's strongest point, and the terrace is lovely. It was clean, and the owners were quick to help when the coffee machine stopped working: they brought a replacement the next day, with a little breakfast treat too. Getting there was the hard part. The apartment sits high above town, and hauling strollers up that steep hill was exhausting. It may suit people looking for quiet, but there are no nearby shops or bars, barely even a rubbish bin, so a car is needed for everything. Parking in Baiona is already difficult, which made things inconvenient. There's also a broken, neglected playground nearby that looked dangerous. The double bed mattress was old and had a foam topper. For the apartment's price, that wasn't acceptable, especially after climbing the hill. Check-in wasn't until 5 pm and, although we knew that beforehand, it felt like a long wait with children. Having to leave at [time missing] was another inconvenience.
