aina is a wonderful host, always friendly and caring, and full of local knowledge. The house is spacious and comfortable, with all the facilities you could want, and it’s a great place to work from home. From the door, it’s five minutes to a swim in the harbour, or a 20-minute walk to a wild rocky beach. The mornings bring birdsong, and in the evening you can hear children playing in the streets. port d'es canonge is a tiny village on spectacular, unspoiled coastline. There are no shops in the village, but two excellent restaurants open in the afternoons. The nearby supermarket in esporles is open until 9pm most days. Getting there means driving down a hairpin road along the mountainside, but that’s a small price for such a magical location. I couldn’t recommend the house more.

We came away with a wonderful experience. The hostess was fantastic, attentive and made everything easy. Set in an old fishing port, the location is superb if you’re after peace and quiet. The sunsets are beautiful, the water crystal clear, and there are no crowds. The house has all the comforts, and the internet worked perfectly, even though it’s practically in the middle of the mountains, so you can work from there too. A fully recommended stay. I hope to return soon!
