We lost two nights of sleep during our vacation, and I won't be coming back. There are five rooms directly above the restaurant, with party noise going late into the night. On our first night, some kind of motor also woke us at 6 a.m. We complained and were told it had been fixed, but the noise was even worse that evening. When I went downstairs again, they rudely asked, "What do you want to do?" They should have had an answer, since the noise kept going.

Barbate is beautiful, but I wouldn't trust this place with a reservation. We booked by phone two months ahead at a good price, with no problems at first. Then, a month before our stay, another couple called about booking and were given our name for the same room. We were told our booking wasn't valid, with no warning. If we'd turned up on the day, they could have left us out on the street without ever telling us. They blamed a computer error at Booking.com, even though we'd booked over the phone. They showed no professionalism in sorting it out, and said they'd call with another option. I'm still waiting.
