Hostal El Espinel

It's a quiet, clean, no-frills place, with no views. The double room felt pretty cramped, though the built-in wardrobe helped a little. The bathroom was extremely basic, without even a shelf for toiletries, and the shower head's dense spray felt harsh and stinging.

The owner was warm and friendly, and we had a lovely stay. The hostal is very clean and well placed, close to everything, including the beach, and we'd happily return. There are narrow streets, and you can park on a sandy open area about a 3-minute walk away. One thing to keep in mind: there's no lift. The stairs aren't many, but they could be an issue with heavy luggage or if you need ramp access.

I don't usually book hostels, but with everything else in the area unavailable, this was my only choice, and it pleasantly surprised me. The room was very clean and tidied every day. The bed was really comfortable and good quality, as were the sheets and pillows. I'd definitely recommend it.

It's one of the cheaper places in Zahara, and you can tell in the limited space: the hostel is small, there's little room for luggage, and there's no minibar. Still, I really liked how peaceful it was, thanks to well soundproofed windows, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The owner was attentive and did what they could to make the stay comfortable.
