BILBAO INDAUTXU XI by Aston Rentals

The location is brilliant, right in the city center and 5-10 minutes from everything that matters. Rooms are fine, with an old-money look. They're not the most modern, but still hold up well enough to today's standards. Breakfast has lots of options and is really good. There's also a rooftop terrace that probably makes a nice spot in summer. A solid choice for the money, and I'd recommend it.

From check-in through housekeeping, the restaurant, and the bell and door staff, everyone was outstanding. The rooms were great and the location is hard to beat. It has a touch of old-school charm, too. I had an excellent stay and will come back next time I'm in Bilbao.

The rooftop bar has great views, and the cocktails were good, but very small and expensive, about 20 euro each. The hotel itself is nice and in a great location, though very dated. Room service was horrible: at check-in, three people were waiting because their rooms hadn't been cleaned, and we had the same problem. We eventually had to go down to the front desk to ask for fresh towels.

I've been having dinner each night this past week at the hotel bar and restaurant, with Mohammed as our bartender and server. He's personable, remembers what you like to eat and drink, and makes for great conversation. A great bartender to have here. I highly recommend coming to see Mohammed at the barn restaurant.
