We booked at the last minute, and they were happy to take our dog, an actual dog, not a 5kg handbag accessory. Plenty of other hotels nearby claim to be pet friendly but only accept toy pets. It's a two star hostel, and I don't know much about how hostels get their star ratings, but the place was spotless and the staff were all smiles and on point during our brief interactions. They offered to be there and open whenever we arrived, asking only for 15 minutes' notice. The shower was adequate and the bed comfortable. It's in the town centre, so it isn't quiet, but that's part of the atmosphere. If you want to park the car and forget about it while you relax, eat, drink, and stroll back to your digs, the location is ideal.

Lola was kind and helpful with everything, thank you again 👍. The hostal is right in the centre of Zahara de Los Atunes, so getting around is easy. It's also very close to the beach, restaurants, and lots of other options nearby, including a cafeteria just below where you can get a good breakfast, though it's often crowded. We were in a corner room that felt almost like being out in the street. Noise went on until around 2.00 am, then started again at 6. 00 am 😞. The room and bathroom were tiny, so we had to open our suitcases on one of the beds. The bathroom had no fresh air. Cleaning was so-so, and for a two star hostal I thought it was expensive, though I know Zahara tends to be pricey everywhere.

We loved being able to get around without a car. Zahara de los Atunes Castle and the beach are right nearby, and everything else was easy to reach too. The reception team were great, the room was spectacularly clean, and we had a wonderful stay. I’d love to come back! 😃
