Hostal Luz del Sol Barbate

Charo was a wonderful host, friendly and attentive, and gave us great suggestions for food, tapas, breakfast, and places to see. The peaceful, family friendly atmosphere was lovely, and the air conditioning worked well. Our bed was comfortable and everything was spotless. The location right on the beachfront at Playa del Carmen, where the promenade begins with its many restaurants and entertainment options, was a real plus. Excellent value for money, and we'll definitely return.

Across the street there's a promenade lined with bars, cafés, an ice cream shop, and the beach, and parking is available nearby. We also had tapas at La Tasca, a short walk away, and the tuna sandwich was excellent. Definitely try the tuna there. For lunch, the receptionist and cleaning lady recommended next door at Taberna Barbatun. We loved the tuna steak and tuna toast, both delicious. A big thank you to them for being so attentive and kind throughout. We'll be back this summer. Thanks for everything.

Mari and Charo were especially friendly and helpful, and all the staff were fantastic. The room was spacious and very clean. We made a great choice and will definitely come back!

The location is great, the place is very clean, and the staff are so friendly. Highly recommend it.
