La Tarayuela

The staff were attentive whenever we needed anything, no matter the day or time, and any problem was handled right away. The place was comfortable and very clean, with great service throughout. We had a magnificent stay and will definitely be back soon.

The receptionist deserves a 10 out of 10. The cleaning was fantastic, everything was spotless, and she was so kind and polite. The room itself was fine too, with a great bed and a perfectly usable, if small, bathroom. The walls, though, were paper-thin. We could hear two different neighbors, according to what we were told, having sex for four to five hours a day. I’m not exaggerating. The pharmacist must be delighted to sell Viagra. I’d read reviews saying it was family-run, but none mentioned this.

The photos gave us a different idea of the rooms, which turned out less comfortable and convenient than we expected. The shower is very narrow, and a few more wardrobes would be useful. Still, the quality for the price is fair.

The area was filthy, with rubbish everywhere, and the room made the stay even worse. It was like a tiny cell. There was only a sheet on the beds, no blanket or comforter, not even a pillow. The sliding bathroom door didn’t close properly and didn’t reach the ceiling. The shower was so cramped I could barely move, the tap leaked around its seal, and one towel had yellow stains. At 3:30 a.m., the people next door came in and made the whole place shake. Their light shone through a window on the left into our room, and they were noisy for over half an hour. A locked door was the only thing between us. I’d never repeat this. The worst 70 euros I wasted on my vacation.
