Featured review We returned around 11 pm after a full day sightseeing and found ourselves locked out. The room code had changed after 10:30 pm, and our luggage, essentials and one friend’s medication were inside. Reception had left around 9-10 pm, and none of the contact numbers worked. There was no reliable emergency line or way to reach hotel staff. We even went to another branch hoping to get the new code, but they weren’t helpful and asked the police not to assist us. We were stranded outside with no support. With an early 14-hour international flight ahead, we spent the night running around for help. After hours of stress, the police and a locksmith finally got us into the room around 4 am, nearly five hours later. We grabbed our belongings and went straight to the airport without any rest. This felt unsafe, exhausting and completely avoidable. In my experience, the hotel’s system means a code changes automatically at night, with no 24/7 support, no working emergency contact and staff unwilling to help even when medication is locked inside. Until that changes and proper after-hours help is provided, I can’t recommend staying here, especially for women travellers, late arrivals or anyone with medical needs.
