Urban District Apartments - Rambla Suites & Pool

The apartment has what you need, with shopping about 400m away, lots of places to eat nearby, and a small rooftop pool. Lucia, the contact person, is very friendly and can speak and write English, which is a big advantage. It’s around 15 minutes on foot to the nearest metro station, with a direct line to the center of Barcalona. The apartment is close to the beach, but be aware that the nearest one is a gay beach, with naked men playing beach volleyball, so you know what to expect 😉.

★★They ask for an unannounced 300 euros deposit. Book here if you want the deposit taken away★★ They charge a 300 euros deposit during online check-in, even when the room can’t be canceled. About three days before check-in, they send an Agoda message asking you to use a link for online check-in. It seems to happen separately from Agoda. A week after checkout, we still hadn’t received the deposit back. They said they were keeping it because of damage to the bathroom, but the bathroom was already in very bad condition, and the part they claimed was damaged was like that when we checked in. We took a picture of the damaged area as soon as we checked in, sent it to them, and complained, but they still said they couldn’t return the deposit in full. We reported it to the Spanish police and complained to Agoda. They can’t communicate at all. Be careful. Book this accommodation if you want to get worn out dealing with a deposit problem.

The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, with easy access to shops, cafes, and transport. The beach was an easy walk away. We'd happily stay at UD again.

We loved the roof terrace, and the apartment was modern and quiet despite being close to the beach, restaurants including those on Ramla del Poblenou, groceries, and shops. Our family of four rented a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment. The washer-drier and vacuum cleaner were useful, but the sofa bed was very poor quality and we wished there had been another bathroom.
