Matías made us feel so welcome with all the thoughtful touches, and I’d love to return to Las Calabasas. The few days we stayed just weren’t enough. The apartment is lovely, very clean, and the bed is comfortable. There’s plenty in the kitchen, and the balcony has breathtaking views across the valley. It’s well placed for exploring both the Jerte Valley and La Vera. The town and the people around it are charming too. Thank you, Matías, for this wonderful experience.

Matías had the heating on before we arrived, so the apartment was already comfortable, and he offered us local products. It’s a well-equipped rural place in a quiet village, with beautiful views and very good facilities. We had everything we needed. The only thing that let it down a little was the cleanliness of the kitchen and cutlery; the rest of the house was fine. Recommended.

We found the place nice and warm when we arrived, with clean sheets and towels. The owner gave us a wonderful welcome and was attentive and friendly throughout. It’s a relaxing spot in a village that’s well placed for visiting the valley. The only small gripe was that the kitchen felt a bit sticky and the TV remotes were dirty. Apart from that, everything was great.

A great place to stay. The owner welcomed us with a dozen eggs from his hens and a little bottle of tasty homemade cherry liqueur. Definitely recommended.

We had a lovely week with the kids. Matías, the owner, kept surprising us with thoughtful touches, including seasonal fruit and local liqueurs. The villagers were lovely too. The village is a handy base for exploring both the Vera and Jerte regions. A magnificent experience.
