Casa lo Ferre

Nuria, the owner, was very friendly and gave us suggestions for places to see around the area as well as restaurants. The house has been renovated beautifully and decorated with care, and it was spotless throughout. We had an excellent stay and would definitely return if we're in the area again.

Nuria, the owner, took perfect care of us. We stayed in the small house for two, which had everything we needed. It's also very well placed for trips around the Matartaña region. We'll definitely come back.

The house sits on the road into town, where there's quite a bit of traffic. It's spread over four floors, with narrow spaces and small rooms. The dining room is small for a group of 11 adults.

The heat was the hardest part of our stay. The house wasn't set up for a heatwave: there were no fans or anything to help, and the upstairs rooms were especially awful. We only got two hours of sleep the first night. We kept the windows open at night and shut during the day, but it was still unbearable. We were a large group and found the house quite nice, with plenty of room for everyone. They gave us information about the area when we arrived and were very quick to respond when we booked. We booked at 9 pm on the day, at the last minute, because we hadn't originally planned to stay overnight. One night would have suited us as we were just passing through, but a two-night stay was required. We also didn't really understand the €5 per night pet charge, though we respect it. We'd understand a fee for damage, but not for using the air conditioning. Still, lots of places charge for pets. On departure day, we felt overwhelmed. We had two dogs, and for part of the morning the landlady kept going downstairs and leaving the door open, so they could have got out. The night before, she had walked past the house a couple of times. Honestly, that made us feel a bit intimidated. To respond to the owner's comment, it's not true that we left the place in bad shape. I can only speak for myself, and my partner and I were one of the couples with dogs. We cleaned up all the hair and folded the sheets in our room before leaving. If anything was wrong, though I doubt it, I'm sorry, but it wasn't because of my dog. This is meant as constructive feedback, about things the whole group experienced that we think could be improved. I hope it's useful, but if you would rather we didn't share our thoughts, other guests could end up feeling the same way. I'm sorry if you felt attacked. That wasn't my intention. The accommodation is fine, but these things let it down for us.
