Nuria was a delight as a host, quick to reply and thoughtful about making us comfortable. She turned on the heating and had the fireplace ready. The house itself was even more beautiful than in the photos, with plenty of room for our group of eleven and a dog. We came back feeling rested and already keen to return. We’re all from Madrid, and even though the house is in the Community of Madrid, its setting among nature made it feel like a real escape. On the rainy first day, we played foosball and board games in the attic; the next day we hiked by the reservoir and took in the snow-capped mountains. It was a lovely place for our family birthday weekend, whatever the weather. I’d press a button to relive it in a heartbeat.
