It's wonderfully quiet and serene, with sheep grazing on the hills outside. Our apartment was neat, and we loved the rural furnishings. The owner greeted us warmly when we visited in 2017 and told us his wife had lovingly put together their beautiful house. There's a garden to relax in, and a glass-roofed pool inside for a dip when the weather allows. The water in the house comes from a natural stream they've tapped. They have accommodations on both sides of the road. What a place, I could write an essay.

The scenery around O Carreiro is breathtaking, with unspoiled natural landscapes, the sea, cliffs, and beaches. Pura and Manuel are incredibly kind and charming hosts, pure Galicia. We stayed in their Os Castiñeiros house and loved it. It had everything we needed: a comfortable, welcoming, spacious, well-equipped home, a garden to enjoy, and exquisite decor. A wonderful country house.

I'm so grateful to Pura. It's a beautiful place, very well cared for, and so clean it feels as if there isn't even glass in the windows.

We stayed in the O Castiñeiro house over Easter, six adults and two children. The facilities were comfortable, with a cozy living room and fireplace, a full kitchen with a dining table, and an outdoor area with a covered barbecue. Everything was perfect. It's a good spot for a few quiet days, walking and visiting nearby areas.

For a complete break, Casa Rural O Carreiro is ideal. It's in a village about 5 km from Cedeira, surrounded by woodland and pastures, with lovely views, fresh air, and plenty of peace and quiet. The owners are delightful and happy to help with any questions or concerns. An unbeatable location.
