Hotel Aiguaclara

We visited in August 2025. Begur is small and easy to get around on foot, and the hotel has a separate car park around the corner, though you pay for it separately. Breakfast didn’t have many options, but what was served was exceptionally good. The front desk staff were very friendly. They checked us in, gave us a map showing the main sights and recommended restaurants. The building is rustic and clearly has a lot of history. We stayed in the apartment, which we hadn’t realized was in another building about a minute’s walk around the corner from the main hotel. That was a bit disappointing. The apartment itself was spacious, though somewhat dated, and the toilet had a flushing problem.

The breakfast was incredible, and we also really enjoyed dinner at the attached restaurant. Lucas and Susan were great, helping us plan itineraries and choose restaurants. The hotel feels modern but is set in an old house with plenty of history, right at the edge of the old town. It’s easy to drive to Pals and other nearby towns, or to hike parts of Cami de Ronda. We especially recommend walking up to the nearby castle around sunset. We loved this special hotel!

Lucas, Susanna and Joan were a delight to meet and couldn’t have been more helpful. They suggested a local car rental, hikes around Begur, places to eat and transport to BCN. We had a wonderful time in the Begur area and at Hotel Aiguaclara, with gracious service, great staff and outstanding amenities. We plan to return before long.

Hotel Aiguaclara is a fantastic place to stay in the beautiful centre of Begur. Shops, restaurants and those clear blue water beaches are all within walking distance. I’m here for the challenging hiking trails, which you can find both in town and nearby. The breakfast and service are top notch. Management and staff will go out of their way to help make your stay memorable.
