We were drawn in by the price of the seafood platters and made a big mistake. All the food left us unimpressed, and it wasn't as cheap as we'd expected. The stew seemed suspiciously familiar because I sometimes use canned food at home when I don't know what to cook. It was Litoral, homemade, homemade. The lentils were the same. The salads were mostly tomato, onion, and lettuce, plus some leftover surprise ingredient. We ordered several, and some had tuna, which was good, while others had orange. What? The seafood wasn't worth discussing, and at least the desserts that came packaged probably wouldn't make you sick. A family left before we were served, saying “enjoy your meal” in a way that felt a bit intriguing. The waitress looked like she came straight from a Tim Burton movie, and along with the funny Litoral cans we drank, she at least gave us something to laugh about during the meal. If you're more interested in partying than eating well, I highly recommend it ;)

I love Béjar and its tapas culture, so it's a shame that a place like this brings the town down. We'll never come back. The smell of fried food is unbearable. The room was a decent size, but it was very dirty. The beds were awful, and the extra bed wasn't a mattress at all, just foam cushions held together under a sheet. An emergency light in the room kept us awake all night, and the TV didn't work. There was nobody to complain to, either, because no one was there from midnight until noon. We were completely on our own in the hostel. At first, the man serving us in the bar seemed friendly and familiar. We ordered beers, and he brought extra tapas along with the complimentary ones. The tapas weren't nearly as good as those at other bars and restaurants in Béjar, but he charmed us into trying his “exquisite” lobster rice the next day. When we sat down, they served us leftover anchovies as a starter, reheated but already cold, the same ones they use for tapas. The rice was made with discolored boxed broth and overcooked rice, and the seafood was the worst I've ever tasted. The miserable piece of “lobster” smelled of ammonia, as did the two prawns floating in it. We sent it back, and all the friendly service disappeared. The staff were among the least professional I've ever seen. The gentleman behind the bar, the PR person, and the waitress were rude and treated us terribly. Go to Pavón, Abrasador, La Plaza, El Bosque, El Francés, La Plata, or plenty of other places. Anywhere but here.

We went in October 2014, three friends together, and had a fantastic meal. Felix was so nice and friendly, and the homemade desserts were delicious. We chose the seafood menu. Everything was fresh and cooked really well, just delicious. The cochifrito was a little dry, but after all that seafood, I couldn't complain. Thank you!

The earlier comments don't reflect the reality here. The breakfast review was about the restaurant's previous owner. Management has changed, and what that gentleman says isn't true of the current place. As for the other comment, I don't know what it refers to or why it was posted, since it came from a child aged 10 to 12. Since I've been running the restaurant, we haven't served this underage child any wine. And certainly not wine from Eroski for €4, as claimed. I have nothing against Eroski wine, but the wines in my restaurant cost at most €2 and aren't from Eroski. Best regards, and thank you.

To start off a wonderful weekend in Béjar, we had a fantastic seafood platter with rice at Posada del Peso. The staff were very friendly, and the rural atmosphere felt welcoming, just right for couples spending a weekend in Béjar. Highly recommended.
