Hotel Carmen

Bike friendly.

Cool.

Fantastic.

We were very unhappy with the place after holding a celebration there recently. The staff were adequate, but the service felt disorganized. The confirmation said the second course would be meat with potatoes and salad. What arrived was just meat with lettuce, and the lettuce came out when the meat was nearly gone. The cake situation the next day was even worse. We called to collect the cake we had ordered, and they insisted a woman had taken it. We had only seen it for five minutes before it was put away in the kitchen to be sliced, and nobody saw it again, so no one could have taken it. When we called a second time, they said it was gone, even though many guests hadn’t had any cake, so that made no sense. The whole exchange was rude and arrogant. It’s a shame, but we’ll never return with service like that. One good thing was the well-kept garden, and one of the young waiters put a lot of effort and care into it.
