Hotel Solana

The beds were the best we’ve had in Spain so far, and the breakfast was both healthy and hearty. We stayed two nights to take a rest day while hiking the GR-11. The hotel’s location and how easy it is to get around on foot are its best features. Rooms facing downtown may get some evening traffic noise, though we slept through it. Booking wanted 60 more euro, so it’s better to reserve directly through the hotel.

I stayed with my girlfriend for two weeks on a work trip and found the room very cozy. The breakfast buffet had a lot of variety despite being small, and the woman at reception was kind and helpful. Lovely hotel with incredible service, one of the best I’ve stayed in so far.

The room was bright and spotless, the breakfast was great, and the staff were kind and friendly. We had a wonderful three-night stay.

The food was often decent, and one waitress, the most adult one, did a good job. But I definitely can’t recommend the place. Our spacious room was a lousy old attic with two very small roof windows, no aircon or fan, and it was extremely hot. We weren’t allowed to switch rooms. We also couldn’t eat outside, since that area was reserved for non-staying guests. The WiFi practically never worked, making it impossible to load a video.
