Hotel Residencia Sol

Dora, the proprietor, is lovely and clearly enjoys looking after people. We were welcomed as guests and treated like family, with personal attention and plenty of spoiling. The hotel has an old-fashioned charm you don't get at large group hotels. We loved our stay, and the breakfast is great. Thank you, Dora.

Call ahead, as it's easy to find and has secure parking. We had a pleasant night and breakfast at this family-run hotel. The owner was polite, kind, and helpful. Our room was very clean, the linen was good, the shower worked well, and it was quiet. There was also a swimming pool and a separate tank with turtles.

The pool, kids' games, and patio made this a great place for family time. It's near the highway if you're on a longer trip, and also a good spot to rest. The hosts were awesome and the facilities were great. We felt at home, with Dora treating my family the way my grandmother used to. Make sure to have breakfast: her homemade bread and cakes are delicious. You won't believe how much you get for the cost. We'll definitely come back after a weekend we'll remember as perfect family time.

The 22 turtles swimming near the pool and the parrot and bird singing at breakfast made the place memorable. Dora speaks wonderful French, parking was no problem, and it felt safe. The bed was large and comfortable, the pool fantastic, and breakfast wonderful, with homemade bread and cake and fresh fruit juice. We first came across the place by chance 10 years ago and had such fond memories of Dora and Paco's welcome. This summer, on our way to Almeria, we stopped again and were glad we did. Hotel Sol won't just be a stop on our way to our holidays next time, it'll be our destination.
