Hotel Agua Azul - Adults Only

The snack bar and its chefs were great, and breakfast was fabulous again. We didn’t eat lunch in the restaurant because the snack bar suited us, but the evening meals could be better. The selection of meals and desserts wasn’t very appetizing, so we ate out a couple of evenings despite being on an all inclusive stay. We were happy with the bar and its staff. The room was okay, though it could use more storage, and the fridge could use a shelf. We stayed on the park side as before, and had a lovely second visit. All the staff were lovely, with familiar faces, a warm welcome and lots of help. The manageress was very attentive, checking around the pool on her shifts to see if everyone was happy and noting down queries to sort out. There was a new warning that towels would be removed from pool sunbeds if left unoccupied longer than the set time, which was great. We only sat at the tables around the pool, though, and there weren’t as many tables, chairs or parasols as on our last visit. On our last day we had an early breakfast and told reception 24 hours ahead so the toaster and coffee machine could be switched on. They were, but there was no butter for the toast, a shame. Thanks for the stay. We’re looking forward to returning next year to see the changes. The lovely staff are like a family. Bye for now.

The food was excellent for all meals, and the location was great. It was mostly British food, with drinks from all the brand names. Cocktails were fine, made from a machine. Room 512 was a corner room that got sun all day, though it could be a little noisy outside late at night. The rooms and maid service were excellent, everything spotless, and the beds very comfortable. The staff were lovely. Pilar, the lady manager, interacted with all the guests, and Lena at reception was very helpful. The man at reception checked us in promptly and was very helpful. It was almost 9.30pm, and he told us to get dinner before service closed, though we could have had snacks. This hotel is a gem and we’d definitely return.

We had a lovely stay for 6 nights at the end of April 26. People coming back to their rooms late were noisy, and the food was my only criticism. It was a little like nursing home food, although breakfast was the best meal of the day. The hotel was nice and clean, and the staff were great.

The glass partition between the toilet and the left side of the bed is easy to walk into at night. I’ve clattered into it twice so far! The hotel is basic but decent, with adequate rooms and friendly enough staff who aren’t very engaging. Food is a small selection, but always good quality, and the entertainment is hit and miss. It’s in a great spot for getting to both sides of Benidorm. Most of the guests are older.
