Apartamento Mirador del Mediterraneo

The gardens and pool are beautiful, and the grounds are very well cared for. The walk up the steep hill was difficult for me because I have trouble walking. We only spotted the other entrance, with steps and benches where you can stop and catch your breath, on our last day. The wooden steps down to the garden could do with replacing. We rented an apartment while in Benidorm. It was advertised as super luxury and larger than average, but it wasn't either. It felt cramped for three of us, though we'll raise that with the owner. I was also concerned that one key opens the gates, the building's internal doors, and the apartment, so I can only give three stars.

The block is on a hill, but from the 15th floor the views were fantastic. The area is clean, tidy and quiet, and the security is excellent, with keys needed at each gate and door. There's also a car park. It's a great area if you have a car. Walking into Benidorm takes about 10 minutes, all downhill; for the steep walk back we took a taxi, which cost between €5 and €8 at night. We booked through booking. Com, and the apartment had everything. But we weren't given any information about the building's safety rules, and the pool was hard to find because there were no directions in English. The electrics seemed old. The trip switch kept going when several things were plugged in, even with the A/c. That only ran for 25 minutes at a time because of its settings, which was strange. It was the oldest A/c system I've seen, and it worried me. I complained to benidorm booking.com. On arrival, we had to collect the keys from them, which was a huge pain at 1.30 am. The apartment wasn't serviced at all during our week there, with no clean towels. I'm not used to that in 2024, though maybe that's the new normal in benidorm. They also took a €200 deposit on arrival, which still hasn't been returned.

The building was dirty and run down, the rooms very basic, and the apartments sit on a steep hill. The man was rude when he asked us to pick up the keys early, then left us waiting 45 minutes for him to arrive. He didn't even apologize.

The apartments and views are beautiful. The only drawback for some is being right at the top of cardiac hill. You need to be fit to walk back up there every night.
