The apartments themselves were clean, well located, and had what we needed, including good WiFi and air conditioning even at the end of October. Still, the first morning left such a bad impression that I won’t return, and probably won’t come back to Benidorm either. We booked through easyJet Holidays. Our flight landed on time at 1930, and the included transfer brought us here at 2130. Reception was closed, but a note on the door told us where to find the envelope with our keys. That worked perfectly. The letter asked us to come to reception between 9 and 11 the next morning to finish checking in, so after a late night and very little sleep, we set alarms. Jordi’s first question was whether our flight had been late. I said it had landed on time and that, while easyJet Holidays hadn’t told us reception would be closed, the note was helpful. He said it wasn’t easyJet’s fault. When I asked what he meant, he bluntly said it was mine. He claimed easyJet Holidays didn’t know reception would be closed, that I’d been told to call the hotel, and that I hadn’t read my documents. I couldn’t believe it. Why would easyJet tell us to call if they didn’t know reception would be shut? I read every word when I spend a lot on a holiday, and the only hotel detail in the emails was that the drop-off point was 170m away. I’ve checked all the emails several times since, and there’s no instruction to call. I’m happy to forward them to anyone at the apartments. This seems to be a misunderstanding between the apartments and easyJet, and since Jordi was so certain the instruction should have been passed on, I’ll raise it with easyJet so they know not to offer this accommodation until it’s resolved. He also mentioned a voucher, but easyJet Holidays package bookings don’t come with vouchers, so I think he was confused. Even if he was right, a polite way to raise it would have been to ask gently whether we’d seen an instruction to call, not accuse us straight away of failing to read our documents. I wasn’t even going to bring this up, since it didn’t cause us any problem, and I wouldn’t have blamed him for the reception hours. I tried to laugh along with his later “banter”, which was all aimed at my fiancé, so there wasn’t much point. I was shocked and bewildered by the accusations, and that unpleasant start overshadowed the holiday.

The rooms are a fabulous size, and the staff were extremely helpful. For a small apartment block, there’s a lot here: a swimming pool, sunbeds, a pool table, downstairs changing room and toilets, vending machines, two lifts, and stairs. A fabulous little place to stay.

Just got back and can’t fault the apartments. The rooms were lovely and spacious, and the location was great. We had a truly great stay. Shirley Ward, Pontypool, Wales.

Izabel, you were a star. You helped arrange a mobility scooter and order taxis, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. It was lovely to see your smiling face. Jordi was another really helpful gentleman. The staff here go above and beyond. Lovely, clean apartment xx
